The Niger-Delta Food Security Summit & Expo 2026 is conceived as a high-level, multi-stakeholder platform to catalyze sustainable, youth-driven, climate-smart, and investment-ready agricultural transformation across the Niger Delta.

The Niger Delta region holds significant agricultural potential, yet continues to face structural challenges in food production, value chain development, agribusiness financing, youth unemployment, climate vulnerability, and post-harvest losses. Despite vast arable land, aquaculture assets, oil palm heritage, cassava and rice potential, food insecurity persists across several states in the region.

Themed: Food Security, Energy & Youth Inclusivity – Engaging the Youths to Secure the Future of the Niger Delta, the Niger Delta Food Security Summit & Expo (NDFSSE) will attract the comprehensive agricultural ecosystem including: regional governments, development partners, policymakers, agribusinesses, investors, financial institutions, youth-led enterprises, manufacturers, energy producers, technology solution providers, supply chain/logistics providers and market enablers to advance practical and investable solutions to food insecurity in the region with the youth at the core.

Together, they will engage, collaborate and form partnerships to achieve the region’s food security objectives.

The Niger Delta Food Security Summit & Expo will serve as a catalyst to align regional objectives with global sustainable development goals, paving the way for the emergence of a progressive agricultural industrial hub for the country.
